Jim Holloway, Outstanding Store Manager - Summerville, SC (Knightsville McDonald's)
Jim Holloway began his career at McDonald's in July of 2006, when he accepted a position as Assistant Manager at the Weapons Station store in Goose Creek, SC. "What I enjoy most about working at McDonald's is interacting with the customers and working with the crew." Jim recently received the Outstanding Store Manager award from the Atlanta Region. His exceptional management skills and his ability to be fair and respectful towards his crew are traits that have helped Jim pave the path to the award-winning McDonald's store manager that he is today.
When asked about the obstacles he had to overcome to get to where he is today, Jim replied "Learning the McDonald's system was challenging at times, but once I understood the logistics, everything started to fall into place."
Through his store, Jim is actively involved with his community. His store supports Knightsville Elementary School by hosting quarterly McTeacher's Nights. His store has also hosted car washes for the Summerville High School Band and donates supplies to the local Boy Scouts. In addition, Jim has been involved in the McDonald's - Electronic Merchant Systems Golf Tournament benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston. Paula King, Outstanding Store Manager - Charleston, SC (Bee's Ferry WalMart McDonald's)
Paula King began her career at McDonald's in 1997 when she accepted a position in the grill area at breakfast at the Johns Island store in Johns Island, SC. "What I enjoy most about working at McDonald's is meeting new people. Working with the crew is like working with my family. I have more daughters at work than I do at home," she said.Paula recently received the Outstanding Store Manager award from the Atlanta Region. Her strong determination and exemplary people skills are two traits that have made Paula the successful McDonald's store manager that she is today.
When asked about the obstacles she had to overcome to get where she is today, Paula replied "I had to figure out how to balance my home life with my job responsibilities. The flexible schedules and training programs provided at McDonald's helped me overcome this obstacle."
Through her store, Paula supports several long standing community partnerships including McTeacher's Night, and the honor roll program at Orange Grove Elementary. Paula has participated in McDonald's marketing events including Black Expo and the Grand Opening of Camp Carolina at the South Carolina Aquarium. Johnnie Mae Baker, Outstanding Store Manager - Ladson, SC (Ladson McDonald's)
Johnnie Mae Baker began her career at McDonald's in the summer of 1977 when she accepted a position as a Hand-made Shake Maker at a McDonald's in New York, NY. "I was looking for a summer job," she said. Johnnie Mae speaks proudly of the unique opportunities available within McDonald's that she credits her career advancement to for more than three decades. "What I enjoy most about working at McDonald's is being a leader, managing people and keeping track of products and equipment," she added. Johnnie Mae recently received the Outstanding Store Manager award from the Atlanta Region. Johnnie Mae has also received many awards during her tenure with McDonald's including Store Manager of the Year in NY and SC, along with service and strategy awards.
Her excellent people skills, extensive training and willingness to respect and cooperate with her owner, supervisor and crew are traits that have made Johnnie Mae the successful McDonald's store manager that she is today. Johnnie's spirit of friendly competitiveness creates an environment that propels her store and other Charleston McDonalds to achieve excellence.

Jovee Porcha, Outstanding Shift Manager - Summerville, SC (Trolley Road McDonald's)
Jovee Porcha began her career at McDonald's in 2008 when she accepted a position as Assistant Manager at the Trolley Road store in Summerville, SC. "What I enjoy most about working at McDonald's is working with the crew. I adore the people I work with," she said. Jovee recently received the Outstanding Shift Manager award from the Atlanta Region. Her strong organizational skills and attention to detail are two traits that have made Jovee the successful McDonald's store manager that she is today. Before joining the McDonald's team, Jovee was a police officer for the Morrow Police Department in Morrow, Georgia and received the Police Officer of the Year award.
When asked about the obstacles she had to overcome to get where she is today, Jovee replied "I've had a lot of deaths in my family recently but the support from my supervisors, owner and store manager has helped me get through a very difficult time in my life."
Through her store, Jovee supports several long standing community partnerships including McTeacher's Night. Jovee is a strong advocate of teambuilding and has worked together to enhance employee recognition programs in her store with activities that highlight perfect attendance and outstanding customer service.
